"Ecological AND efficient at the same time – STAEDTLER products are “efficient for ecology“ The protection of the environment, the consumer and the employee hold a very high degree of importance at STAEDTLER.
A fully-integrated and uniform environmental protection programme is a natural part of our environmental philosophy “efficient for ecology.”
Long before the emergence of the many eco-standards and environmental seals, STAEDTLER was already demonstrating corporate responsibility through environmentally friendly processes and self-imposed eco-controlling."

"The environment has always been a large consideration in the way we operate at ExaClair Limited. Our parent company, the Exacompta Clairefontaine group, ensures environmental protection is an integral part of its corporate strategy and has so for over 40 years. Importantly, the group has signed the Global Compact. This guarantees compliance, not only with environmental criteria such as the protection of biodiversity but also ethical and social issues such as respect for human rights. A range of environmentally-friendly products has also been created: the Forever range provides 100% recycled products from paper and plastic materials. Forever products can be found within both the Exacompta® and Clairefontaine® brands we provide."
The main points of Exacompta Clairefontaine’s environmental policy are:
ExaClair Limited is committed to manufacturing and distributing products which are environmentally friendly. Many of our products can be found bearing the following:
Program for Endorsement of Forest
Certifications – This independent nongovernmental organization has developed a set of criteria to promote sustainable forest management. National forest certifications fulfilling
these criteria may be eligible for PEFC recognition.
Forest Stewardship Council – An
independent non-governmental organization that has developed a certification system for environmentally, socially and economically sound forest management.
The FSC® mark can be found on many products provided by ExaClair.
The Blue Angel – A recognised label attributed to products that bear little damage to the environment. Only papers manufactured with 100% post-consumer waste paper and recycled plastics are certified.
"Snopake Brands recognises its responsibility to conduct business in a way that protects the environment. We will strive for a positive environmental, social, ethical and economic impact in our supply chain. We will foster beneficial relationships with the local communities we do business with as part of our brand values.
Snopake Brands believes it has an important duty to ensure good environment performance in all its business operations and to provide the necessary organisation, commitment and training to fulfil this obligation. The management firmly believes in, and is committed to monitoring and improving environmental performance, pollution prevention and environmental protection."
Respect for the environment, one of our main concerns, is driving us to work continuously so as to reduce the impact of our production as well as of our products. Through this desire, we naturally committed ourselves to an environmental approach according to the ISO 14001 standard for many years in Japan and since March 2006 in Europe. Our approach of consistent and constant improvement led us to develop a QSE (Quality, Security and Environment) department exclusively working on environmental issues.
Thanks to our tireless work, we have recently obtained the highly selective EMAS certification
